The parent problem: someone has to be the judge

Articulation Station is designed around a knowledgeable adult listening and marking each attempt correct or incorrect. In a clinic that adult is a trained SLP. At home it is you.

For an easy sound that is fine — most parents can hear whether “cat” came out as “tat”. For a distorted R, a lateral lisp, or a sound that is nearly right, it is genuinely difficult, and marking a wrong attempt as correct trains the wrong movement.

Help Me Talk moves that judgement into the app: your child says the word, the app returns a score, and it keeps the trend for that sound across weeks. It is not as precise as a trained ear in the room.
